Objective : The two years Distance Learning Master of Arts
(M.A.) in Environmental Education conducted by The Global
Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the
demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of
teaching and training activities related to ecology,
environment, natural resources conservation, plantation,
nursery development, town and country planning, pollution
care, environmental impact assessment, greening, cleaning
etc. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgement on 18
December 2003 has made teaching of environmental education
compulsory in all the schools, colleges and universities.
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline (Arts / Commerce /
Science / Engg. / Medicine / Agriculture / Law etc).

Award : Master of Arts (M.A.) in Environmental Education
shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The
Global Open University, Nagaland. They will also be eligible
for admission in the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree programmes in
the relevant Schools and Faculties at The Global Open
University, Nagaland.
Teaching Methodology : The Spot Admission and Central Despatch Unit of The Global Open University, Nagaland will
accord admission to the students and provide all facilities
including counselling, identity cards, lessons, guidance for
enabling them to prepare themselves for becoming
environmental activists and leaders for tackling
environmental related issues.
