Objective : The three
years Distance Learning Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Degree being
conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting
the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of information
technology and management, computer programming, internet operations, computer
applications, business communication, logic design, data structure, systems
analysis computer architecture, windows and server administration, data base
management etc.
Eligibility : 10+2 in any discipline Duration : Three years
Award : Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Degree shall be awarded to all
the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.

The Admissions Office will issue the money receipt and send confirmation letters
to all admitted participants within ten days from the date of the receipt of
completed applications alongwith first instalment of fee and copies of
certificates and testimonials.
Project Work : All admitted
participants will be required to complete Mini Projects for each of the subjects
of the BCA Degree on a relevant topic related to the concerned subject / paper
in partial fulfilment for the requirements of the 30 marks allotted for
assignments. The Mini Project Reports are to be submitted semesterwise.
Accordingly four Mini Project Reports are to be submitted for each semester
before appearing in the semester examination.
Bachelor's Thesis : All
admitted participants will be required to complete and submit a Bachelor's
Thesis on a relevant topic related to computer applications. The Bachelor's
Thesis based on the data collected from primary and secondary sources will be
submitted for evaluation. Conducting and completing the Bachelor's Thesis is an
integral part of the BCA Degree programme. The topic of the Bachelor's Thesis
may be related to one of the following or allied subjects and areas although the
topics are only illustrative and not exhaustive. The university will be pleased
to guide the final year students of the BCA Degree programme in selecting the
topic so that the same is approved by the Examination Department.
